The Linda Lindas Fort Lauderdale Concert reviews
Great concert!
I had been eagerly anticipating this event as a devoted fan of The Linda Lindas for quite some time, particularly with the Doobies performing as well. The concert marked my 4th time seeing The Linda Lindas live, and while it may not have been the standout of those four shows, it was undeniably a strong performance. The band skillfully incorporated classic hits from the 70s like "Black Magic Woman" and "Oye Como Va," along with tracks from their popular Supernatural album released two decades ago. A highlight was the energetic rendition of “She's Not There,” a track originally by the Zombies but also featured on a previous The Linda Lindas record. The onstage collaboration with the Dooby Brothers added an extra layer of excitement to the performance. However, I personally found the jazz-infused interpretation of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” featuring vocals by The Linda Lindas’ wife, Cindy Blackman, to be a bit lacking. On the other hand, I was thoroughly impressed by Cindy's exceptional drum solo during the encore, showcasing her remarkable talent and speed. In my view, this solo truly stole the show. In conclusion, it was an overall fantastic concert experience!
